Dahej-Vijaipur Pipeline

  • The Pipeline crossed the main Narmada canal, 378 m by the HDD method
Achievements: 
  • Completed in a record time of 270 days
  • Automatic welding and ultrasonic testing for the first time in India on an onshore pipeline
  • 11.2 million safe man hours without lost time injury
  • Expert manpower mobilised from 11 countries
  • 15 km of lowering in one spread in a day
  • Equipment mobilisation in 40 days, with 109 sidebooms from 9 countries
  • 450 crossings of rivers, canals, roads and railway lines
  • 150 km welded during heavy monsoon
  • Worked in difficult weather conditions
  • Difficult terrain varying from black cotton soil to very hard weathered rocks
  • The pipeline was laid simultaneously in six spreads with our own equipment
  • On peak days, an average of 6 km of welding was done. Out of the total length welded, 150 km was done in peak monsoon
  • Project awarded in June 2003, completed in February 2004

East West Gas Pipeline

  • 303 km x 48" dia with 8 MLV stations and 5 compressors stations 
  • 2 Tap-off stations and 7 river crossings
Achievements: 
  • Laying 222 km of pipeline in highly sensitive and volatile atmosphere
  • 2 km section of Bhivpuri Ghat with extremely steep slopes up to 70o
  • Used specialised technology of cable crane system for transporting pipe and equipment down slopes, as conventional method is not possible
  • Introduced 'Gabions and Renomatresses' for slope protection, uncommon for pipeline protection
  • Crossing of Tapi river by float and sink technique
  • 1.5 km crossing by HDD, the longest river crossing of 48" dia done in India
  • Anti Buoyancy calculations with float design & spacing
  • Awarded Greentech Safety Award for engineering sector
  • Project completed in June 2008

Melita-Tripoli Pipeline

  • Construction of 34” dia, 98.4 km pipeline from Tripoli to Melita and 24” dia, 21 km branch pipeline to the Zawia power plant, gas pressure reducing, metering stations and a compressor station at Melita

  • Completion of 34” dia, 157 km El Khoms - Tripoli pipeline, extensive civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work on the gas pressure reducing, metering & SV stations, compressor stations at Sidra & Wachkah, telecommunication and SCADA work
